Year Over for Eagles Azinger: The doctors have spoken and Winston Azinger of the Stoneman Douglas HS Eagles didn't like what he heard. The 16-year-old first baseman is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Azinger sustained his season-ending injury during the Gulfport HS Admirals game yesterday at The Eagles Nest. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Stoneman Douglas HS medical staff reported Azinger had bone chips in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 6 months.

Azinger is currently batting .242 with 1 home run and 5 RBIs.
