Year Ends for Herman Patterson in Philadelphia: Herman Patterson has to call it a season. The Philadelphia Keystones reliever sustained a season-ending injury against the Washington Eagles and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Patterson was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and stated that he would not be able to play for 12-13 months.

During this season he has made 14 relief appearances, earning a 4-1 record with 4 saves. In 20 innings Patterson has struck out 11 with a 1.80 ERA.
