Wild Card Goes the Distance, Oklahoma City Prevails: It went the distance, but the Oklahoma City 89'ers finally disposed of the Washington Oaks 3-1 in the series clincher at Field of the Pythons.

Winning the finale gave the 89'ers the series, 2-1. They will now advance to the Divisional Series.

The Most Valuable Player Award went to Oklahoma City center fielder Ozzie Young. He batted .500 in the series, collecting 1 RBIs and scoring 1 runs.

"Ozzie deserves it," said 89'ers manager Tom Lintz. "He was the glue that held our club together."

The Divisional Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wild Card finishes.
