West Powers 3 HR Against Pawtucket: Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Tobs-Patriots game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball.

Carolina left fielder Trent West thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Carolina to a 7-3 win over Pawtucket.

"Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," West said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run."

West was 3-for-4 on the day with 4 runs batted in.

Trent West flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Deonte Malone in the 4th, walked in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Quin Mueller in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Quin Mueller in the 9th.

So far in 2059 West is batting .283 with 36 home runs, 86 RBIs and 82 runs scored. He has 143 hits in 505 at-bats and a .378 OBP.
