Weegerink Packs a Wallop -- Hits 3 HR Against Trash Pandas: Fort Knox right fielder Koen Weegerink blasted three homers today at Ballpark of Baxter in the 5-4 Centennial victory over the Watford City Trash Pandas.

For the game, Koen Weegerink scored 3 times and knocked in 4 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Weegerink when he reached home plate.

"It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 3-for-4, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Weegerink told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day."

Koen Weegerink hit a solo-shot off Wayne Bond in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Wayne Bond in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Jorge Félix in the 7th.

In 25 games this season Weegerink is batting .247 with 22 hits and 8 home runs. He has scored 18 runs and driven in 19.
