WEST Player of the Week Goes to Hostler of St. Louis: Few players his age are still in the league, but Mike Hostler of the St. Louis Terriers clearly loves the game and clearly he can still get the job done. Last week the 35-year-old second baseman hit the ball with the consistency of someone ten years younger, which made Hostler a popular and well-deserved selection as Western Region Player of the Week.

He paced the Terriers attack by putting up a .481 batting average, 13 hits in 27 at-bats, 3 RBIs and 1 home run. Hostler also scored 7 runs.

Hostler is batting at a .322 pace this season, picking up 139 hits in 432 at-bats with 16 home runs, 64 RBIs and 70 runs scored.
