Velasco Clobbers 3 HR Against Jackals: Some days you can't have it all, as New York Boulders first baseman Victor Velasco discovered when he cracked three homers against the New Jersey Jackals today, and still lost.

"I have mixed emotions about this game," he said. "It's great to hit three homers, but it's hard to be happy when you lose the game."

The 26-year-old got his name in the league record books, but the Jackals walked away with the 7-6 triumph at Provident Bank Park. Velasco finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats and 4 RBIs.

"I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," he said in the postgame interview.

Victor Velasco flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Eric Hammond in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Eric Hammond in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Mark Graham in the 8th and walked in the 9th.

Thus far this year Velasco is batting .287 with 36 home runs, 59 RBIs and 56 runs scored.
