Trappers Blank Dingos, Lent Wins: Mike Lent of the Arlington Trappers was masterful today, pitching a 3-hit shutout, 16-0, against the Baxter Dingos.
By going the distance, he was at the same time able to give his bullpen a rest, a fact appreciated by Arlington manager Joe Showalter.
"It's nice to have someone who can do that from time to time," he said. "He had command of every ball and every pitch. Great location, too."
Lent had 10 strikeouts and 1 walk in the outing.
So far this season Lent has compiled a 7-3 record with a 2.40 ERA.
