Tobs-Voodoo Trade: Hansen for Porter: The Carolina Tobs and New Orleans Voodoo have put the finishing touches on a deal that was weeks in the making. Carolina will part with 25-year old CF Amani Hansen and a 4th round draft pick, while the Voodoo have dealt 23-year old minor league LHP Thomas Porter and 19-year old minor league RHP Jace Szymanski.
"This one took a while to figure out," said Carolina general manager John Squid. "We must have gone back to the drawing board five or six times over the past few weeks. I'm glad we finally got the deal done. I think it is a good one for both clubs."
Hansen has a lifetime .240 average with 172 hits, 30 doubles, 6 triples, 16 home runs and 69 RBIs to date.
