Tejada Misbehaves, Suspended 2 Games: The agitation was hot and heavy at MSL Long Island Ballpark yesterday. After a called third strike Divided left fielder Roberto Tejada protested the call in no uncertain terms. While he and the home plate umpire were jawing face-to-face, a few bumps took place and Tejada was ejected from the game.

"It was verbal, nothing more," according to Tejada. However, the league frowned on what transpired and suspended him for 2 games.

"The league will never tolerate a player touching an umpire in anger," the commissioner said in the suspension notification.
