Tedder Tags Rapids for 5 Hits: It was a high-five day for Preston Tedder, at least for a while.

The Delmont third baseman got plenty of them from his teammates when he reached the five-hit milestone during today's game against the Niagara Falls Rapids, but they were in short supply at the end, as Niagara Falls took a 9-8 win. Tedder finished with an impressive 5-for-6 line, but the Miners couldn't hold off the Rapids.

"Preston was hitting everything," said Miners manager Pat Hurley. "It's too bad the other guys couldn't rise to the occasion."

Preston Tedder doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Verdell Abdul-Tawwab in the 8th, singled in the 9th and struck out in the 11th.

This season Tedder has delivered 13 hits in 36 at-bats for a .361 average with 1 home run. He is getting on base at a .465 clip and his totals also include 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. This year Tedder has played in 31 games.
