Tatis Jr. Slams 5 Hits for Minnesota: Minnesota shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. had a day to remember today, 5-for-5 against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park as the Twins picked up a 13-5 victory.

"He was patient up there today," Minnesota skipper Rocco Baldelli told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Tatis Jr. has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."

Fernando Tatis Jr. hit a solo-shot off Tarik Skubal in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Tarik Skubal in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Greg Meraz in the 4th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Josh St. Clair in the 8th.

This year Tatis Jr. has batted at a .276 pace with 161 hits, 40 home runs, 125 RBIs and scored 95 times.
