Stringer's Hit Streak Over: It was a doubly miserable day today for Donald Stringer of the Moscow Mules, as he saw his 20-game hitting streak end and his team lose 13-1 to the Reno Railers at Ripper Ballpark. The 27-year-old right fielder was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Railers.

"Anyone on a 20-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Reno manager Jasper Sheehan said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done."

This year Stringer has 3 home runs and a .392 batting average.
