Stafford Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games: Win or lose, Brendan Stafford just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 2 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 20 games.

The Clemson Tigers left fielder went 2-for-6 today, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated 8-2 by the California Golden Bears at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

"It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him."
Brendan Stafford struck out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, flied out in the 9th and struck out in the 12th.

In the current season, Stafford has put up a .347 batting average with 26 hits, 4 home runs, 9 RBI and scored 17 runs.
