Sooners Heading to Super Regionals: It went the distance, but the Oklahoma Sooners finally disposed of the Oregon State Beavers 5-1 in the series clincher at L. Dale Mitchell Baseball Park.
Winning the finale gave the Sooners the series, 2-1. They will now advance to the Super Regionals.
The Most Valuable Player Award went to Oklahoma catcher Chase McNeil. He batted .538 in the series, collecting 2 RBIs and scoring 3 runs.
"Chase deserves it," said Sooners manager Jaquan Jones. "He was the glue that held our club together."
The Super Regionals matchups and schedule will be announced after the Regionals finishes.
