Snyder Sparkles in 3-0 Whitewash of Panama City: In an outstanding outing, Oakland Oaks starter Nick Snyder tamed the Panama City Piranhas with a 4-hit shutout at The Oak Grove today. The Oakland hurler went the distance, finishing with 6 strikeouts and no walks in the 3-0 win.
"He had a lot of first-pitch strikes and kept us off balance with a lot of off-speed stuff," according to Panama City manager Brian Talamante. "We just didn't get too many balls squared up today."
Currently Snyder has a 6-4 won-lost record in 14 starts with a 3.05 ERA. He also has 87 strikeouts in 91.1 innings.
