Silva's Season Could be Over: The Michigan Militia were dealt a severe blow when José Silva was hurt running the bases recently in a game against the Minneapolis Maulers. After the game, the team trainer reported Silva might have to spend a lengthy time on the injured list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 27-year-old shortstop out for the rest of the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament. They indicated it would take Silva at least 8 months to heal.

So far this year Silva is batting .259 with 2 home runs, 15 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
