Season Possibly Over for Jack Oliver: Doctors in Cincinnati said Jack Oliver might not play anymore this year. The Reds reliever suffered a fractured elbow during a game against the Indianapolis Clowns and will be out for at least 4 months. Club officials told BNN they do not expect him to return to the team this season.

This season Oliver has made 6 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 1-3 won-lost mark and a 4.69 ERA. In pitching 40.1 innings, he has totaled 42 strikeouts and 9 walks.
