Santa Monica's Aguilar, Outstanding Pitcher Award Winner: He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Rod Aguilar performed like a veteran on the hill for the Santa Monica Tropical Fish and walked away with the Pilsner Outstanding Pitcher Award in the process.

The 22-year-old Tropical Fish star fashioned a 12-6 won-loss record in 2059 with a 3.25 ERA. In 166 innings of work and 25 starts, Aguilar struck out 214 while giving up 132 hits and 74 walks. He held opposing batters to a .220 average.

He received 20 first place votes out of a possible 24. Powell Nogami of the Yonkers Hounds finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Trevor Caldwell of the Niagara Falls Rapids finished third.
