SAA's Best Hurler is Taylor: He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season George Taylor performed like a veteran on the hill for the Ottawa Fat Cats and walked away with the USSL Double A Outstanding Pitcher Award in the process.

The 22-year-old Fat Cats star fashioned a 10-8 won-loss record in 2054 with a 3.33 ERA. In 159.2 innings of work and 21 starts, Taylor struck out 109 while giving up 150 hits and 39 walks. He held opposing batters to a .245 average.

He received 7 first place votes out of a possible 10. Trevor Covenay of the Marquette Miners finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while B.J. McLean of the Northville Eclipse finished third.
