SA- Star of the Week Chosen: Bethlehem fans have something to crow about today as Bethlehem catcher Pancho Becerra nabbed the USSL Low A Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days.
"I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Becerra.
He posted a .500 average (7-for-14) this past week with 3 home runs, 8 RBIs, and 4 runs scored.
Becerra is presently hitting at a .257 pace with 12 home runs and 36 RBIs. He has played in 52 games and scored 24 times.
