Ron Chichester Chosen GSL's Premier Player: The future looks extremely bright for Ron Chichester. At the age of 22, many players are still trying to find their way in Gold and Silver Baseball League.

Chichester has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Gold and Silver Baseball League Most Valuable Player Award.

"I didn't expect to hit .243 this year, that's for sure," the center fielder said.

The Stockton Ports star also put up a .357 on-base percentage this year, with 104 hits, 16 doubles, 5 triples, 4 home runs, 35 RBIs and 62 runs scored.

He received 6 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. David Chambers of the Stockton Ports finished second in voting, while Gary Wood of the Bakersfield Bears finished third.
