Ramirez Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak: Ruben Ramirez has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 34-year-old Death Valley Scorpions right fielder extended his streak today to 20 games, going 1-for-5 as Death Valley got the best of the Detroit Demons at Danny DiVidome, 7-6.
"Ruben has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Scorpions manager said.
Ruben Ramirez hit a solo-shot off Cameron Grimes in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and grounded out in the 10th.
To date this season Ramirez is hitting .343 with 3 home runs.
