Raleigh's Kaputa Bags POR Top Batter for August: When Grant Kaputa stepped up to the plate in August he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the Porter Batter of the Month award.
The young Raleigh center fielder posted a .333 batting average with 12 home runs, 25 RBIs and scored 32 runs. Kaputa also worked pitchers for 16 walks to post a .426 on-base percentage.
This year Kaputa is hitting .300, produced 76 RBIs and 27 home runs, scored 96 times and gotten on base at a .425 rate.
