Rainer Deals Supernovas 10-0 Shutout: John Rainer handcuffed the Sarasota Supernovas at Sarasota Superdome today, coming away with a 2-hit, complete game shutout.
"I had everything working for me out there," the Nashville Stars right-hander said later. "I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted."
With his stuff working, Rainer had little trouble with the Supernovas and led the Stars to victory, 10-0. He recorded 8 strikeouts and no walks in an impressive performance.
This season Rainer has crafted a 6-1 mark with a 3.64 ERA in 76.2 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .224 against him and he has 70 strikeouts.
