Quinn Priester Nabs Prestigious Outstanding Pitcher Award: The Double-A announced today that Quinn Priester has been chosen the Outstanding Pitcher Award winner for 2023. The Tulsa hurler had everything working for him as he cruised to an outstanding 8-5 record.
Priester put up an impressive 2.78 ERA in his award-winning season. He started 26 times, worked 162 innings, yielded 128 hits, walked 84, fanned 160 and held opposing hitters to a .223 average. He received 19 first place votes out of a possible 24. Justin Slaten of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Daniel Lynch of the Portland Sea Dogs finished third.
