Poly Prep Country Day School Sweeps into the Semifinals: It's a sweet sweep for the Poly Prep Country Day School Blue Devils and they have won the Quarterfinals. The Cathedral HS Devil Dogs were not able to keep pace with the Blue Devils and dropped the series in short order, losing 12-5 in the deciding game.
"This wasn't really the effort we hoped for," said Cathedral HS manager Tom Siekmann.
It's now on to the Semifinals for Poly Prep Country Day School after their 2-0 series win.
Leading the way for the winners was first baseman Kevin Duffie, who was named MVP. For the series, Duffie hit .500 with a .556 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 3 runs.
The Semifinals matchups and schedule will be announced after the Quarterfinals finishes.
