Pirates, Rangers Close Deal: The Pittsburgh Pirates have made a deal sending $1 in cash to the Texas Rangers for 29-year old RHP J.J. Levy. Both sides are said to be pleased with the way the trade worked out.

Texas will retain a portion of Levy's remaining contract.

This year Levy has made 20 starts, thrown 108.1 innings, fanned 104 batters and walked 32. His won-lost record is 6-7 with a 3.74 ERA.
