Piranhas End Bustamante's Streak: Miguel Bustamante, first baseman for the Hollywood Shredders, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 3 tries against the Panama City Piranhas today. Not only did the Piranhas break his 27-game hitting streak, they also beat Hollywood by the score of 5-1.

"Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Bustamante said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate."

Bustamante is hitting at a .376 mark this season. His stats show 13 home runs, 45 RBIs and 41 runs scored. He has played 54 games for the Shredders.
