Pimentel's Hit Streak Reaches 25 Games: Orlando Pimentel collected 3 hits in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 25 games. His club, the Miami Marlins, beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-2.
"Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," Pimentel quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking."
Orlando Pimentel walked in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Ryland Wilson in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
So far on the season Pimentel is hitting .500 with 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and 7 runs scored. He has 20 hits and played in 11 games.
