Philadelphia-Cincinnati Trade: Kimbrel for Story: A trade was announced today at a press conference in Philadelphia. Not satisfied with their current roster, the Philadelphia Phillies general manager shook things up by acquiring 30-year old 2B Trevor Story from the Cincinnati Reds for 34-year old RHP Craig Kimbrel and 20-year old minor league SS Maximo Acosta.

"We're a better team now," Phillies general manager Boog Furtado said. "We've added several pieces to the puzzle."

Cincinnati will retain a portion of Story's remaining contract.

This season Kimbrel has accumulated 1 save, registered a 7.71 ERA and struck out 6 in 4.2 innings. He also has a 0-1 record in 5 relief appearances.

This season Story is batting at a .365 clip with 3 home runs and 10 RBIs.
