Petereit Smacks 3 Out of the Park: The California Angels knocked off the Cleveland Spiders 8-7 today in spite of a fantastic performance by Spiders first baseman Kane Petereit, who Petereit drilled three home runs but couldn't bring home the victory.
"It's like going to the prom with the prettiest girl in school, having a great time, but then not getting a good night kiss," Petereit said later.
Petereit finished the day with 3 hits in 3 at-bats, 6 runs batted in and 3 runs scored.
Kane Petereit hit a solo-shot off Lincoln Kenney in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Lincoln Kenney in the 4th and hit a three-run home run off Brock Ward in the 5th.
Petereit on the season is hitting .316 with 16 home runs. His stats include 37 RBIs and 33 runs scored.
