The San Diego (Rk+) Padres reliever sustained a season-ending injury against the Burlington Royals and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Eredia was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a torn rotator cuff and stated that he would not be able to play for 12 months.
