PNL's Best Player Named: Pitchers who faced the Salem Senators last week were happy to see Billy Groh in the rear-view mirror. The 20-year-old right fielder was dubbed the Pacific Northwest Baseball League Player of the Week for a 6-game tear that saw him hit at a .417 clip.

For the week he also chalked up 10 hits in 24 at-bats, 1 home run, 6 RBIs and 9 runs scored.

This season Groh has hit 11 home runs and posted a .328 batting average.
