PNL Pitcher of the Year Award Announced: Fernando Lopez of the Yakima Harvesters will be adding a new centerpiece to his mantel after being tabbed for the Pacific Northwest Baseball League Pitcher of the Year Award today.

The 19-year-old hurler started 28 games this season, tallying a 13-8 record. In 203.2 innings, Lopez gave up 190 hits, struck out 166, walked 98 and held opponents to a .245 average as he posted a fine 4.15 ERA.

He received 6 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Rookie Placeholder of the Yakima Harvesters finished second in voting, while Dennis McAteer of the Yakima Harvesters finished third.
