Omaha's Conder Sidelined for Season: The doctors have spoken and Terry Conder of the Omaha Steaks didn't like what he heard. The 24-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Conder sustained his season-ending injury during the Hartford Defenders game yesterday at Defenders Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Omaha medical staff reported Conder had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months.

For the year Conder has collected no saves in 5 relief appearances. He has also notched 5 strikeouts and 4 walks in 6 innings while registering a 1.50 ERA and a 0-0 won-lost record.
