Nixon Selected 2051 C1 Hitter of the Year Award: Greg Nixon took International Finishing Consortium by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 19.
For his spectacular campaign, the Munich Red Baron star has been named the 2051 Conference 1 Hitter of the Year Award recipient.
"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the shortstop.
On the season he compiled a .329 batting average to go with a .443 on-base percentage. The native of Nein, Israel also added 3 doubles, no triples, 16 home runs, 34 RBIs and 39 runs scored.
He received 24 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Zbynek Kresek of the Taipei Black Bears finished second in voting, while Rehor Maslejov of the Moscow Red Storm finished third.
