NBL Names Most Valuable Player Award Winner: 1962 was a fine year for Appleton catcher Frank Bohley and it was topped off today with the announcement that he is the winner of the Northern Baseball League Most Valuable Player Award.

Bohley starred this season with a .300 batting average, 124 hits, 15 home runs, 60 RBIs, .410 OBP and 60 runs scored.

He received 5 first place votes out of a possible 6. Barry Gilmore of the Aberdeen Pheasants finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Mike Schorr of the Appleton Foxes finished third.
