Myrtle Beach Loses Mathew Little for Season: Mathew Little of the Shorebirds just might have to call it quits for the season. The 23-year-old Myrtle Beach starting pitcher received a possible season-ending injury against the Lawrence Patriots recently at Victorians Stadium. Little suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch. The Shorebirds medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 11-12 months.

So far this season Little has a record of 1-0 with 26 strikeouts and 7 walks in 28.2 innings and a 0.94 ERA.
