Mohawks Come up Short of Playoffs: A late-season playoff push is not in the cards for the Moncton Mohawks. The club today was mathematically knocked out of playoff contention.

"There are a lot of long faces around right now," said Mohawks manager Jayden Dean. "You know in your head that every year, most teams in baseball have to go through this, but it still hurts when you realize you've lost your shot at a title."

Before this season, the Mohawks last missed the playoffs in 2057. In the 76 years they have been a Lautering Union franchise, they have made the playoffs 17 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Mohawks have missed the playoffs 5 times. Moncton last won the Lautering Trophy in 2055.
