Marquez Grabs APP Reliever of the Year: He may only be 22, but Laurus Marquez of the River City Rumblers has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the Appalachian League.

The reliever was today named the APP Reliever of the Year winner for 2037.

He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 6 saves in 28 relief appearances and 49 strikeouts in 42.1 innings. He had a record of 1-3 to go with his 1.70 ERA.

He received 36 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Adrian Lambert of the Raleigh Cubs finished second in voting, while Trent Cook of the Harlan Smokies finished third.
