Lewis Mows Down 15 Pride: Alastair Lewis of the Kansas Rainbeaus put on a pitching clinic today at Wichita Field as he struck out 15 Hartford Pride in a 7-0 victory. Lewis, who is tied for 3rd in the SAAA with a 10.6 K/9 rate, was simply magnificent as he held the Pride to 1 hit. He walked 1.

"I felt okay at the beginning," Lewis said, "but eventually my slider really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game."

When asked about Lewis's performance, Rainbeaus manager Chan-koo Kim shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."

During this season he has made no relief appearances, earning a 4-2 record with no saves. In 69.1 innings Lewis has struck out 82 with a 2.47 ERA.
