Klein Tags 3 HR Against Indians: Erik Klein brutalized the Kinston Indians pitching staff, launching three home runs in today's 19-6 victory at Riflemen Ballpark. The Hondo Outlaws catcher was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day.

"I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one."

For the game, he went 3-for-6 with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored.

"Too much Erik Klein today," Indians manager Ozzie Dougherty said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to."

Erik Klein hit a solo-shot off Devin Green in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Devin Green in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Sage Warner in the 7th and struck out in the 8th.

So far on the season Klein is hitting .230 with 10 home runs, 23 RBIs and 26 runs scored. He has 34 hits and played in 49 games.
