Kings Clinch Wild Card: For the Los Angeles Kings, it's not how you start, but how you finish. That's the mantra the team is following after today qualifying for the playoffs.
"We may be going into the playoffs as a wild card team, but we plan to finish the playoffs as champions," said reliever David Myers. "There's no shortage of confidence from guys in our clubhouse."
With a record of 82-81, there will of course be teams with better track records in the postseason. But team manager John Horn said his club has "infinite optimism" that they can win the franchise's 1st The Confederation of Baseball Dunces championship.
