Keli Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak: Kerry Keli ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games today at Kenny Payne Appreciation Stadium, when he collected 1 hit in 3 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Louisville Lemurs dropped the game, 9-5, to the Florida Flamingos.
"Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Keli said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game."
Kerry Keli walked in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Ringo Mushingo in the 8th.
Keli is hitting .368 this year with 18 home runs, 63 RBIs and 39 runs scored. He has 82 hits in 223 at-bats, 22 walks and a .416 on-base percentage. Keli has played in 56 games.
