June's Top Hurler is Dudley: Bobby Dudley of Sunset District had an award-winning June as he took home the USSL Triple A Pitcher of the Month award.
"He told me once people used to make fun of the way he pitches," Dudley's pitching coach told reporters. "There wasn't anybody laughing in June except for Bobby."
Dudley was all business when he took the mound though, collecting a 3-0 record in 4 starts. He struck out 28 batters in 29.1 innings and kept opponents to a .213 batting average.
This year Dudley has fashioned a 5-1 mark, 2.45 ERA and pitched 55 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .238 against him and he has logged 46 strikeouts.
