Jimenez Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle: In an outing that will go down in the annals of baseball history, Moncton second baseman Hazen Jimenez hit for the cycle today as the Mohawks marched to victory over the Buffalo Red Wings, 11-4.

Jimenez collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, including 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run. He added 5 runs batted in and 2 runs scored to help Moncton take the Moncton War Memorial contest.

"It was the last thing on my mind, really," Jimenez said. "I'm out there trying to get a blooper or a walk or whatever might help the team. Even if I had wanted to, hitting for the cycle is probably as much about luck as about skill anyway."

Hazen Jimenez grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Dontell Yamashita in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a three-run triple in the 7th.

So far this year Jimenez is batting .294 with 9 home runs, 38 RBIs and 37 runs scored.
