Jim Pavlik Drills 3 HR in One Game: The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Allentown Quakers today.

Reading third baseman Jim Pavlik tripled up on the home runs to propel the Railroaders to the 7-4 win at Allentown PA minor league park.

"We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Allentown manager said. "Pavlik hit the heck out of the ball."

In addition to the homers, Pavlik collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 5 RBIs and scored 3 runs.

"Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings."

Jim Pavlik hit a solo-shot off Double A Placeholder in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Double A Placeholder in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Double A Placeholder in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.

Currently Pavlik has 5 home runs and a .329 batting average.
