Injury Worsens, Return Delayed for Astros Canton: The Houston Astros received some bad news when the team's medical staff announced that Manny Canton would miss even more time than had previously been expected. Canton, who is currently out with shoulder inflammation, was evaluated by doctors yesterday and tests showed that the injury was not healing as quickly as they expected. Instead, the 31-year-old starting pitcher will have to spend another 8 months in treatment.

Manny Canton is expected to undergo surgery in Houston(Texas) tomorrow.

So far this season Canton has compiled a 11-5 record with a 3.68 ERA.
