Injury Sidelines Gustavo Pérez For Year: The season is apparently over for Gustavo Pérez. The Providence Pilgrims medical staff informed the club that the first baseman will be out at least 5-6 months with a ruptured achilles tendon. Pérez was hurt in the game against Chesapeake while running the bases. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season.
